my favorite songs of 2005...or at least now most from '05
in no particular order. who cares what i think anyway.
Tori Amos The Power of Orange Knickers
-despite the crazy title, this to me is one of her best songs ever.
Goldfrapp Oh La La and Number 1
-both provided much joy throughout the fall. GREAT videos too. Makes we want to make videos again. Not that I ever made a music video.
sad that i have to look at my itunes library now to think of more.
Use It. The New Pornographers
The Cardigans I Need Some Fine Wine, and You, You Need to be Nicer.
-still yet to be released in the US. Delicious new music those lovely Swedes.
Kaiser Chiefs Born to be a Dancer
Antony and the Johnsons Fistful of Love
A Girl Called Eddy Heartache
Arcade Fire Wake Up
Feist Inside and Out
Casey Stratton Gravity
Fiona Apple Not About Love
Fischerspooner Never Win
Imogen Heap Goodnight and Go
Kate Bush Somewhere In Between
Roisin Murphy Ramalamabangbang
-if i were really a dj i would do the best remix of this. oooh, i wonder if there is one
Texas Just Hold On
Snow Patrol How to Be Dead and Same
Depeche Mode Precious
The Killers Mr Brightside
Madonna Hung Up. Okay, I didn't like it at all at first, but eventually, like most things Madonna does, I end up enjoying it, wether I want to or not.
Morrissey I Have Forgiven Jesus. I can't believe it, but I'm in love with Morrissey again.
Rachael Yamagata Meet Me By the Water, Letter Read, Even So, Collide. If you haven't picked up her debut record, you really should. Love it. It may not have come out in 05, but I love it that much it.
there may be more.....there will be more
